Working from grants secured by Liz Spaulding from the Vermont Better Backroads program, a project to lessen sedimentation from East Lake Road has been completed. Visual observations by Liz, and others, clearly identified this source as a contributor to lake sedimentation. The rock lined ditches along East Lake and Ellison’s roads will slow water flowing down the roads to reduce erosion.Catch basins will then prevent the sediment from going into Lake Rescue. The town of Ludlow completed the work on September 12th.
